We’re launching a crowdfunding campaign NEXT WEEK for PRETTY UGLY through the film crowdfunding platform Seed & Spark! We wanted to be sure to give you advanced notice before we go live next week since followers of our blog have been such a champion of the project.
We have an amazing campaign planned starting the very moment we launch on August 24th. We’re hosting a virtual, kick-off cocktail hour, going live on Instagram with cast members, showing behind-the-scenes clips of the film and so much more!
WHY WE’RE CROWDFUNDING
We’re conducting this campaign to raise our LAST ROUND of support, which will cover expenses to complete and release the film, known as finishing funds. This includes costs to edit the film footage and color correct it, as well as editing and mixing the audio. We’re also running the campaign to expand our audience so that we have a wide network of viewers excited and ready to watch the completed film when we premiere it in early 2021.
HOW YOU CAN PARTNER WITH US
We’re sharing this update about the campaign because: 1.) We wanted our fans and followers of our project to be the first to know! We’d love for you to follow the campaign directly on the Seed & Spark webpage when we share it next week and enjoy all of the awesome updates, activities and events taking place.
2.) Because of your support and interest in the film, we’re asking you to share about the campaign via email and social media. We’ll send you copy-and-paste materials to make sharing effortless. This will help multiply our reach and engage new fans early in the campaign, so they can learn about this important project and become a valued partner just as you have.
3.) Your past support has gotten us incredibly close to the finish line, and we could NOT have done it without you! From helping us fly across the country for shoots to hiring award-winning crew members we’ve maximized all generous gifts to date, and we know you’d be very proud of how far we’ve stretched every dollar. If you feel led to do so, would you please consider making a contribution during the campaign to help us ensure the film can be completed?
I can’t thank you enough for all of the generosity and support you have given to me personally and to the film. This is our final push to engage even more partners and do something incredible together! We both know audiences will learn SO MUCH about chemical safety when they see the finished film, and I believe we will even save lives by raising national awareness around toxic ingredients and helping people find healthier ways to beauty.
Until next week!
